Partner Relations Coordinator
While working as a clinical music therapist in hospice and mental health care facilities, I saw how often someone’s favorite song or hymn would serve as a catalyst for conversation. It led to discussion about the individual’s wishes for the care that he received, what dignity meant to that person, and how that person related to the ones he loved the most at such a difficult time. This work led me to study social work and therapy to become a facilitator for such important conversations for individuals and families. As a part of the Aging with Dignity team, I am now blessed and honored to continue to promote self-determination and human dignity on a larger scale than ever before.
