Aging with Dignity: We Don’t Do That Here

Seniors need help to live in the dignity they deserve

Aging with dignity for seniors is very hard when the services needed to support them aren’t there.  Portland, Oregon-based writer Hannah Brooks Olsen says lawmakers must act.  “We need ample, accessible, affordable, subsidized elder care facilities and in-home care options.  Having enough social programming, including ride-shares, errand assistance and help with medical billing, would make an astronomical difference in the lives of seniors in our communities.”
