Assisted Suicide Legislation Fails in New York

Five Attempts, Five Fails

Legislation to permit physician-assisted suicide in New York was first introduced in 2015, and it has failed to be approved every year since.  This year the bill filed in both chambers failed to even reach a floor vote.  “The legislation has never advanced past the committee stage in either the New York state Senate or Assembly.”
