On March 19, 1996 our Founder and CEO Jim Towey affixed his signature to our articles of incorporation. 30 years later, Aging with Dignity is the nation’s leading advance care planning organization, with over 44 million Americans and their families having used our Five Wishes advance directive. Tens of thousands of doctors and nurses have been trained using our protocols, and our advocacy efforts have shaped hearts and minds on end of life issues. We are grateful for all AWD employees past and present, as well as our generous benefactors, who have made today possible. We can’t wait for the next 30 years.
