Chairman of the United States Special Committee on Aging, Senator Rick Scott, recently held a hearing titled, Empowering Seniors through Financial Literacy: Tools to Protect Savings, Prevent Fraud, and Promote Independence, as a way to improve financial literacy among America’s senior citizen population. Senator Scott hopes this hearing, along with his new Financial Literacy Booklet will help seniors better prepare themselves for retirement and give them the tools they need to fight off fraudsters.
