Harvard professor Arthur Brooks uses the monkey trap analogy to make a serious point.  Forgiveness is essential in a relationship, but only if it is genuine and complete.  “Pseudo-forgiveness solves nothing, and can create a grudge that is exploited in moments of irritation.”
